Los Angeles Times writer Carina Chocano on "Rent" the movie:
"Rent" is commodified faux bohemia on a platter, eliciting the same kind of numbing soul-sadness as children's beauty pageants, tiny dogs in expensive boots, Mahatma Gandhi in Apple ads."

Are you a fan of the Mahatma?
Hmm. Not consciously, but I suppose I am.
I think contemporary "heroes" (for lack of a better term) are few and far between, so when they do pop up it's good to take notice.
Hi Mia! OF COURSE I remember you!!! So that WAS you calling my name at the PDI (not to mention that yes, so there WAS someone calling my name after all).
Hmm. I'm thinking of a way to get in touch with you by email or phone, except I don't want to post any of that info here. Are you a friend of Cynthia's? :)
