I Looove It

Los Angeles Times writer Carina Chocano on "Rent" the movie:

"Rent" is commodified faux bohemia on a platter, eliciting the same kind of numbing soul-sadness as children's beauty pageants, tiny dogs in expensive boots, Mahatma Gandhi in Apple ads."

Hmm. Not consciously, but I suppose I am.
I think contemporary "heroes" (for lack of a better term) are few and far between, so when they do pop up it's good to take notice.
