"A Seriously Small and Light Place"
The Wallpaper* Design Awards 2006 has selected the iPod Nano as “Best Gadget”. Their explanation, via Nick Compton, is amusing, if not a bit effusive:
"In the Nano, Apple chief designer Jonathan Ive has created an object so small and perfectly formed that there is an odd disjoint between what it does and what it looks like it can do. It looks like it would disappear on the tongue, but there is nothing confectionery about the Nano--it just squeezes all that sound and fury into a seriously small and light place. Our advice? Suck it and see."
